Born the year of the
dragon, John Gaddy commenced training in Martial Arts in elementary school.
Although over 3 decades later from his very first lesson he has never
stopped training or learning.
Shihan Gaddy is a highly skilled Martial Artist, his studies
include;Japanese & Okinawan Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Tai Ji Chuan, Boxing
and Kickboxing.
A prote'ge' of the renowned Master Y. Yonezuka, 9th Dan Shihan Gaddy alumni
include Allan Coage, Mike Swain, and Carl Cestari.
At 19 years old Gaddy
competed in
Portugal as a member of the
U.S. Team that competed in the World Championships.
At 21, he won the Gold Medal
in
Australia in Koshiki Karate-Do also known at Safety Contact
Karate.
After capturing the world
title he was being considered to teach Karate for a
Budo & Cultural
University in
Japan, reasons due to his superb martial arts
technique and ability.
Besides being an accomplished competitor Shihan Gaddy is a dynamic
instructor that shares his valuable knowledge with his students and
continues his studies with leading Martial Arts figures.
In addition, character
development in
Martial Arts is the ultimate goal. He is the founder of
International Character
Organization Network (I.C.O.N.) an organization
that promotes world
cultures & outstanding character.

Shihan John Gaddy is the
United States
foremost
authority
on Koshiki Karate-Do. He is the
first
American
to win the Gold Medal, in the World
Championships in
Brisbane,Australia.
He has represented the
United
States
in International competitions from 1985 to 2000. In 1994,
he
assisted Koshiki Karate-Do founder Masayuki Kukan Hisataka 9th
Dan, in a demonstration at the
U.S.A.
National Championships in
Akron,
Ohio.
